We’re delighted you’d like to use JustGiving to build #tech4good. By using any of our APIs or associated services you are agreeing to our Developer Terms and Conditions as outlined below and to comply with all applicable laws.
By signing up you agree to the following Legal Terms and Conditions
Version Date: 15th November 2011
All use of the JustGiving API and every agreement for the use of the JustGiving API ("Agreement") is subject to these terms and by interacting in any way with the JustGiving API, including but not limited to requesting access to the JustGiving API authorisation key or making API calls, you or the entity or company that you represent ("You") unconditionally consent and agree to be bound by and a party to these terms and any revised or new versions of these terms as may be published on our website or as notified to You from time to time (collectively referred to as the "Terms").
These Terms are very important and You should read them very carefully and print or save a copy of them for future reference. If You do not accept all of these Terms then You are not authorised or permitted to use the JustGiving API.
We may, at our sole discretion, change these Terms at any time. We will make new versions of these Terms available at [http://apimanagement.justgiving.com/] or by otherwise notifying You of the revised Terms. If You use the JustGiving API at any time after these Terms have changed then You will be deemed to have accepted the new version of these Terms. If You do not accept the changes then You should cease to use the JustGiving API and this Agreement will automatically terminate.
If You want to use the JustGiving API then You should apply for an Access API Code ("Access Key") at [http://apimanagement.justgiving.com/]. JustGiving will then consider your application and if accepted (at its sole discretion) will supply you with the Access Key and You can build Your application.
Once your application is complete you should submit it to JustGiving and JustGiving will consider it. If accepted (at the sole discretion of JustGiving) then JustGiving will provide You with a confidential security key ("API Key"). The Access Key and API Key are the property of JustGiving and will be revoked if You share them with any third party, if they are compromised, if You violate any Terms, or if this Agreement is terminated for any reason.
You shall only be authorised to use the JustGiving API in a live environment in connection with the application which is approved through certification, if you do not submit your application for approval your Access Key will only work in our test environment. If You wish to use the JustGiving API in connection with any other application then You should make a separate request for certification for that other application.
Your use of the JustGiving API will be controlled by Your password (which You will select) and user name ("Keywords"). We reserve the right at our sole discretion whether or not to issue any username to You. You are responsible for the security and proper use of all the Keywords and must take all necessary steps to ensure that they are kept confidential, used properly and not disclosed to unauthorised people. We are not liable for any loss of confidentiality or for any damages arising from Your failure to comply with these terms.
You must inform us immediately if You have any reason to believe that any Keyword has become known to someone not authorised to use it or if any Keyword is being or is likely to be used in an unauthorised way.
Further information on the certification process and other rules relating to the use of the JustGiving API and operation of Your application are set out at [http://apimanagement.justgiving.com/]. You agree to be bound by and comply with such rules as may be varied from time to time.
Subject to You fully complying with all of these Terms, JustGiving grants to You, as licensee, a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable and non sub-licensable right to download and use the JustGiving API to develop, reproduce and distribute applications ("Your Application") that interoperate, interface and/or connect with JustGiving.com or any other web property owned by and specifically notified in writing to You by JustGiving ("Permitted Use").
JustGiving is not, in any way, obliged to provide any update, enhancement, fix or improvement to the JustGiving API. Also, JustGiving do not guarantee the JustGiving API will be continuously available. JustGiving may, at its sole discretion and without any notice, alter, modify, cease to make available the JustGiving API or any part of it or require You to cease using the JustGiving API or any part of it.
JustGiving reserves the right to limit the number and/or frequency of JustGiving API requests in its sole discretion.
You agree to use your best endeavours to protect and maintain the value and reputation of the JusGiving API and JustGiving.
You agree to JustGiving using your name and logo in the promotion of the JustGiving API and you grant JustGiving a non exclusive, non transferable licence to use such name and logo for such purpose.
Unless otherwise notified to You during the certification process, JustGiving do not make any charge for use of the JustGiving API. Just Giving reserves the right to introduce charges at any time for any individual use of the JustGiving API or use of it generally. If you are not happy with such charges then you will be entitled to terminate this Agreement in accordance with paragraph 7 below.
